Hence there is no ozone generation within lamp housing. 75W lamps do not require water cooling as well.<\/p><p>Unique ellipsoidal reflector within xenon lamp PowerArc\u2122 collects up to 70% of the radiant energy from the arc lamp, versus only 12% for typical condenser systems in vertical lamp housings. The ellipse literally wraps around the arc lamp, collecting 5 to 6 times more output power than a conventional system.<\/p><p>Monochromator\u2019s choice (compact M150i or multifunctional M266i) allows to optimize the required optical power and spectral resolution of the lightsource system and its degree of automation as well. It enables to open the slits two times wider for the selected bandwidth of the spectral range and thus to increase 4 times the output optical power.<\/p><p>Bundling with monochromator M266i versus M150i allows to increase twice the spectral resolution, or to increase four times the output optical power.<\/p><p>Monochromator M150i \u2014 effective and compact, can be supplied with 1, 2 or 3 diffraction gratings, with an option of slits type selection: automated slits with slightly tunable width or a bundle of replaceable slits with fixed width for manual setting.<\/p><p>Continuous spectral output in range from 250 nm to 2500 nm produced by arc xenon lamp PowerArc\u2122 is presented in the figure below. FEATURES<\/span><\/h4><h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\">ARC LAMP POWERARC\u2122 HARDWARE<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At the heart of the PowerArc\u2122 lamp housing is a proprietary on-axis ellipsoidal reflector.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">These reflectors collect up to 70% of the radiant energy from the arc lamp, versus only 12% for typical condenser systems in vertical lamp housings. The ellipse literally wraps around the arc lamp, collecting 5 to 6 times more output power than a conventional system. The arc source is located at one focal point of the ellipse, and the radiation is reflected by the ellipse to the secondary focus which is actually outside of the lamp housing. Since the light is brought to a focus by reflection rather than refraction (through a lens), there are less losses from absorption or lens-surface back-reflection. This design is so efficient that an PowerArc\u2122 lamp housing can deliver up to 11 times more optical power into a given smaller area than a conventional lamp housing. This is critical when illuminating light guides, monochromator slits, pinholes or other small areas.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What this means is simply that you get the same output with an PowerArc\u2122 75 W system as with a conventional 450 W system. You obviously will save money and space.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">While conventional lamp housings resemble chimneys emitting ozone and requiring cumbersome venting, the PowerArc\u2122 has a sealed lamp housing that requires no ozone venting.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The PowerArc compact arc lamp housing design an ozone free lamp housing regardless of the lamp selected, even in the case of UV enhanced lamps. It is ozone free primarily because it is a sealed lamp housing that is air tight and not air cooled, unlike most arc lamp housings which use air cooling.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Air cooled lamp housings have a real problem because they blow oxygen at the UV source, and, like blowing oxygen on a fire, this creates problems. One way to get around this problem with an air cooled lamp housing is to select a lamp that has an envelope that does not emit wavelengths below 250 nm. Quartz output window is used in ArcTune.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ellipsoidal reflectors are proprietary in design and the coating used. They are NOT electro-formed reflectors, which can distort with heat, and can degrade within months. The proprietary design ensures that distortion of the critical ellipsoid can not occur as the lamp reaches its operating temperature.
